  1. Reform is needed after the damage Joe Biden did to our democratic process: "The Democratic National Committee Will Have No Choice But to Restore New Hampshire’s First-In-the-Nation Role":

  2. Saddened to hear of the passing of Joanne McGlynn. I had her as a teacher in high school and she played a big role in my falling in love with NH's #FITN primary process. Her passing is yet another marker in the winding down of this tradition, following Mike Pride's passing last year. With Biden skipping the state, Harris not being nominated until after the primaries were already over this year, and Trump largely avoiding doing any of our traditional town halls, I think it's safe to say that the primaries of Ms. McGlynn's day are over. End of an era. concordmonitor-nh.newsmemory.c

  3. The latest WikiProject New Hamsphire popular pages report is out; looks like there's been a big bump in views for all the Wikipedia articles about NH's #FITN primary, which makes sense, since we just had it:

  4. I have certain unpopular opinions; I'm used to being the underdog in #politics. It's nice when us underdogs win, once in a while.

  5. Enough results from yesterday's primary are in: wmur.com/article/joe-biden-new
Out of respect to the majority of the voters in my party in my state, I endorse Joe Biden for reelection as president.

  6. The BBC will be broadcasting live from Concord tonight and I will be joining them in the second half of the 8:00 hour to discuss the results of the 2024 New Hampshire Presidential Primary from a libertarian perspective.

    Hope you can tune in.

  7. Reminder that besides NH's #FITN presidential primary tomorrow, we've also got two state legislative special elections up in Coös County, tomorrow, too: Edith Tucker are Cathy Fountain are the Dems running. The GOP are actually banking on flipping a seat with the higher turnout from the presidential primary, but hopefully we can stop them and maintain the status quo...

  8. Last night I spoke at length with a personal friend who was deeply involved with the #Trump campaign prior to his 2018 #NH #FITN #primary win. My friend is not campaigning this time: "It's not needed, Trump will win NH"

(Personally I hope the 30% of NH registered Independent voters will go for #Haley in a big way; we'll see)

My first question was about #Ukraine. My friend believes Trump *will* support providing arms & support, and that he understands it's a "good deal" for the USA

  9. First time ever I got breaking news from a pollster! #fitn #nhpol #uspol

  10. @w7voa Shocked, truly, if he is really for Trump. This makes it possible for Nikki Haley to win on Tuesday, and with so many names on the ballot, no downside if she doesn't. #fitn #nhpol #uspol

  11. @MattBinder I was just on a poll call (I live in NH) and when he told me Desantis was out, I was shocked. #fitn #nhpol #uspol

  12. Concord voters: VOTE IN THE PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY ON TUESDAY 1/23! All polls are open 7am - 7pm. Find your polling location here: concordnh.gov/884/Polling-Loca

  13. Grateful that #FITN #NH governor #Sununu is not a #MAGA and is in fact working hard to support Ambassador Haley.

I also approve of his campaign’s color scheme 🇺🇦

  14. REMINDER: #Caucuses are not #Primaries!

The former are exclusively for the Party Faithful and encourage extremist positions; the latter are accessible to all voters and as such encourage moderation.

Especially in #FITN #NH where 1/3rd of the electorate are formally Undeclared, and so eligible to vote strategically in *either* party’s primary.

  15. Every political candidate should have a chatbot, so that every voter can discuss the candidate’s platform & positions in as much detail as the voter requires to make an informed decision.

As such, to encourage a fully informed electorate, all candidates *must* provide at least GPT3.5 level bots, in order to be qualified for national-level seats.

There isn’t time this cycle, but in 4 years if the above is implemented, I will be happy to end the #NH #FITN status.

  16. #NH #FITN entertainment: dropping in on Marianne Williamson's campaign. They are excited because a vaguely credible candidate agreed to debate her.

Marianne herself seems mostly interested in hearing peoples' "energy readings". Unfortunately my crystal isn't working right now so I couldn't share, but at the end she said she is feeling "an extraordinary bust of energy that will change the world!"

  17. BREAKING NEWS!
    The 2024 #NH #FITN Presidential #Primary will be held on January 23, 2024

Yes, I'll be writing in #Biden

  18. Reminder that hosting a candidate at an event is not an endorsement of that candidate. Here in NH we host all sorts of candidates for all sorts of things, and I intend to carry on our #FITN primary traditions in these regards for as long as I can.

  19. These are the final results of the filings for New Hampshire's #FITN presidential primary. I believe that, as a town party chair, my neutrality requirement only requires me to remain neutral between candidates who are actually on the ballot in contested primaries, so I believe that I should be safe to say that I will be voting for one of the following candidates in our upcoming presidential primary. That is to say, I will not be writing in President Biden in the primary. If his write-in campaign is successful, and he wins our primary, then I will vote for him in the general election in November. Otherwise, I will vote for whichever other Democratic candidate appears on the Democratic Party line on our ballot in the general election.

  20. Mastodon won't let me upload pics from the mobile app for some reason, so I had to use BlueSky instead for this pic from the Dean Phillips event: bsky.app/profile/egall.bsky.so

  21. The Vivek Ramaswamy campaign is here in the State House for the presidential filing period; haven't seen Vivek himself here yet, though #NHPolitics #FITN

  22. At the NH State House for the start of the presidential primary's filing period; I'm hearing that so far John Castro (the guy suing to keep Trump off the ballot under the 14th Amendment's "Insurrection" clause), Asa Hutchinson, and "some guy called 'Mondo'" have filed. #NHPolitics #FITN

  23. write a letter to the editor in support of making NH diverse enough for us to deserve to keep our presidential primary #FITN

  24. The lawsuit reported here is being filed by John Anthony Castro of Texas, who I'd never heard about until this story. #NHPolitics #FITN
