So when the #WindEnergy reached 21% last night, we needed, allowing for 20% from the #FissionBoilers and ignoring #GridScale #batteries etc, roughly 5 times as many #WindTurbines as we have so far.

Best get on with it!

Then when a sub-hurricane hits #Scotland there will be fools crowing that 4-fifths of the wind energy is being wasted. One builds the system for the gentle airs, because that is the practical limit.
Having some variable heavy uses of spare power would be nice though.
