#FebruARTy last year I was doing research in Manhattan museums, because I am intrigued with the mysterious iconography of the Nasca culture in ancient Peru. 1,200 years have elapsed since the last Nascan passed away, so the true meaning is lost, but this iconic Nascan symbol is definitely #FishyFeb

#FebruArty #FishyFeb Last Autumn became enthralled with the Nasca/ Nazca ceramics I saw at the American Museum of Natural History #AMNH including the delightful renderings of fish, and that inspired me to think fishy and paint this sculpted face.
