@scatty_hannah @bri_seven I'm at #FirstEvent ( #trans conference in Massachusetts this weekend) and one of the presenters today was discussing various pieces of #trans and #neurodivergent research. They were visibly uncomfortable with the idea of that sort of study - stating multiple times that it might be interesting from a scientific curiosity perspective, but frighteningly easy to weaponize.

They were visibly uncomfortable with the idea of that sort of study - stating multiple times that it might be interesting from a scientific curiosity perspective, but frighteningly easy to weaponize.

Whew. Day one of #Trans #FirstEvent and I'm... full. That's a lot of information to ingest and a lot of rather frantic hopping from room to room. Looking forward to some nice peaceful hot chocolate and book time.
I was halfway expecting it to be hard (in the "so much more of the mountain to climb" sense) but being in whole rooms full of trans people is such a beautiful feeling.
