I've been online since the mid 90's, usually through friends computers at first, before that I'd been tinkering with computers since I was about 12yrs old, from things like Commodore 64's & Amiga's as well as Atari ST's. I got my first PC with a modem in 98, I've been building my own PC's since 2000, but I'd been upgrading systems in some way since at least 91.

I remember the hope and promise it held and how that's been ripped away from everyone for lies, tracking, privacy invasion and a subscription to everything. If they could force you into a subscription service to breathe... they would.

I've been on Masto for 3yrs or so now. I deleted facebook in 2011, twitter in 2018 (not that I really ever used it) and shunned all others with the exception of G+ when that was good between 2011-2015.

Mastodon is my only social media platform now. I switched to beige.party because my previous instance went through a period of instability and was constantly down for a day or two at least 2 or 3 times a month.

Being ill for weeks has given me some time to catch up on a lot of movies and shows that I've been meaning to watch.

But instead of doing that, I'm rewatching loads of shows I've watched before.

Started rewatching #StarWars #Andor again yesterday, last week it was S3 of #TheMandolorian

I've also been rewatching #FinalSpace #TheExpanse and even a few episodes of #Friends as it's been almost 20yrs since I've watched that show.

As for movies/shows I planned on watching... Nope, not one.

It's amazing.

For those who hear 'animated' and immediately dismiss it... don't. This is not a cartoon, it's not for kids. It's a fully fleshed out grown up story, full of emotion and depth.

I have been a fan of the show #FinalSpace since discovering it as a suggestion on Netflix... and I was hooked right away.

Couldn't wait for it to hit Netflix in the UK for S2 & S3, so I grabbed it the old skull hatted way.

Then watched it again and again, and again on netflix.

When they cancelled it, I was gutted.

So seeing this a few months back, I was overjoyed.

Couldn't do it before.

But I just placed my pre-order for the graphic novel.

Muggins me has been eagely waiting for the next series of #FinalSpace, only to learn today that #WarnerBrothers has destroyed it as a "tax write-off" .... WTAF??

Plus, #Netflix has cancelled #DeadEndParanormalPark, which I've just discovered and have been enjoying immensely.
