I'm #queer, and #polyamorous who's about 30 years old at the time of writing. I do tend to hop around fediverse instances, but I'd like to stop that at some point. I liked Friendica a lot, but my last 2 instances died very suddenly, and I decided against trying a third time. For some technical hobbies, I'm into #3DPrinting, and I've dabbled in #Soldering to make my own #MechanicalKeyboard. Didn't design it, but I did put it together without a kit :D

However, my biggest question is how Black Mage will play. If it's still a lot worse than before 7.2 BLM, my Final Fantasy XIV break will continue.

Einerseits liebe ich das Spiel. Das World Building ist hervorragend. Doch je mehr ich jetzt wieder andere #MMORPG anfasse, desto mehr fallen mir die Schwächen auf.

Die Charakter Klassen können "alle das selbe". Einzelziel- und Mehrziel-Angriffe, ein paar Buffs, ein paar Debuffs, Kombi-Angriffe und das wars. Wenn ich mir jetzt #Rift ansehe: Die meisten Klassen können nur ein Ziel angreifen, Flächenangriffe ist ein großer Vorteil einiger Klassen. Wenn Spieler sich gegenseitig 1-Stunden-Buffs geben, haben die tatsächlich auch einen Zweck. In Rift fühlt es sich speziell an, diese oder die andere Klasse zu spielen. Das kann man in Final Fantasy 14 keines Weges behaupten. Bei anderen Klassen drückt man die Tasten in anderen Reihenfolgen und hat andere visuelle Effekte. Wirklich viel Unterschied gibt es da nicht.

Noch etwas, was mich richtig nervt ist, dass absolut jede Quests viel zu aufgezogen ist. Eine einfache Lieferungsquest wird mit ewig viel Text unterstrichen. Du sollst nur einen Brief von A nach B bringen und auf einmal weißt du die Hintergrundgeschichte des Baus der Windmühlen im Nachbardorf.

Letzteres ist, dass die Welt in Final Fantasy in kleinere Welten unterteilt ist. Große Städte sind nicht selten in 2 Teile unterteilt, die Außenwelt ist in vielen Teilen gestückelt. Geht man ins nächste Gebiet, hat man einen kleinen Ladebildschirm. Damit bricht man durchaus das Gefühl dafür, wie groß die Welt eigentlich sein soll. In Rift greifen Invasionen zuerst Außenlager an, bis die tatsächlich in die Städte laufen und dort alles dem Erdboden gleich machen. Hammer!

Und warum spiele ich jetzt einfach nicht Rift? Tja... das Spiel ist Free To Play. Was klassische Systeme mit sich bringt wie: Du willst mehr Inventar Platz? Dann hier Echtgeld für einen weiteren Beutelplatz bezahlen ect. Ich möchte Rift nicht unterstellen, dass es Pay To Win ist, aber weit weg sind die meisten Free To Play Spiele davon nicht.

Da ich gerne mal wieder klassisches MMORPG Feeling haben möchte, versuche ich es jetzt noch mal mit #WoW . Vielleicht werde ich dieses mal richtig warm damit, aber genau genommen hat WoW derzeitig alles, wonach ich mich gerade sehne, auch wenn ich mir jetzt nicht das neuste DLC kaufen werde. Wenn ich mir jetzt #Rift ansehe: Die meisten Klassen können nur ein Ziel angreifen, Flächenangriffe ist ein großer Vorteil einiger Klassen. Wenn Spieler sich gegenseitig 1-Stunden-Buffs geben, haben die tatsächlich auch einen Zweck. In Rift fühlt es sich speziell an, diese oder die andere Klasse zu spielen. Das kann man in Final Fantasy 14 keines Weges behaupten. Bei anderen Klassen drückt man die Tasten in anderen Reihenfolgen und hat andere visuelle Effekte. Wirklich viel Unterschied gibt es da nicht.

Noch etwas, was mich richtig nervt ist, dass absolut jede Quests viel zu aufgezogen ist. Eine einfache Lieferungsquest wird mit ewig viel Text unterstrichen. Du sollst nur einen Brief von A nach B bringen und auf einmal weißt du die Hintergrundgeschichte des Baus der Windmühlen im Nachbardorf.

Letzteres ist, dass die Welt in Final Fantasy in kleinere Welten unterteilt ist. Große Städte sind nicht selten in 2 Teile unterteilt, die Außenwelt ist in vielen Teilen gestückelt. Geht man ins nächste Gebiet, hat man einen kleinen Ladebildschirm. Damit bricht man durchaus das Gefühl dafür, wie groß die Welt eigentlich sein soll. In Rift greifen Invasionen zuerst Außenlager an, bis die tatsächlich in die Städte laufen und dort alles dem Erdboden gleich machen. Hammer!

Und warum spiele ich jetzt einfach nicht Rift? Tja... das Spiel ist Free To Play. Was klassische Systeme mit sich bringt wie: Du willst mehr Inventar Platz? Dann hier Echtgeld für einen weiteren Beutelplatz bezahlen ect. Ich möchte Rift nicht unterstellen, dass es Pay To Win ist, aber weit weg sind die meisten Free To Play Spiele davon nicht.

Da ich gerne mal wieder klassisches MMORPG Feeling haben möchte, versuche ich es jetzt noch mal mit #WoW . Vielleicht werde ich dieses mal richtig warm damit, aber genau genommen hat WoW derzeitig alles, wonach ich mich gerade sehne, auch wenn ich mir jetzt nicht das neuste DLC kaufen werde. Einfach mal reinstöbern und schauen, was ich dabei empfinde. 🙂

Alsooo: Ich habe eine ziemliche Hass-Liebe zu #FinalFantasyXIV entwickelt.

Einerseits liebe ich das Spiel. Das World Building ist hervorragend. Doch je mehr ich jetzt wieder andere #MMORPG anfasse, desto mehr fallen mir die Schwächen auf.

Die Charakter Klassen können "alle das selbe". Einzelziel- und Mehrziel-Angriffe, ein paar Buffs, ein paar Debuffs, Kombi-Angriffe und das wars. Just finished the Main Story Quest (aka MSQ) for Final Fantasy XIV (aka Final Fantasy Online) for Endwalker and OH MY what a good ending.

I was meh about half way through this expansion then it turned excellent.

Tomorrow on to the Endwalker patches heading towards the next expansion Dawntrail.

Ranked mainly based on story, bosses (as characters) and aesthetics.

Not gameplay because I find they are all the same, even ARR on average.
