I've been watching #FastAndFurious 4/5/6 because those take place before the events of part 3. Part 6 was mostly forgettable I think so now I'm finally watching Tokyo Drift which is supposed to be a good one.
It's a strange experience watching it in 2026. Back when it came out FF was no Vin Diesel franchise yet. The movie follows a high-school troublemaker but the actor looks more like 28.
The drifting is actually cool though.

When the ship Evergiven got stuck in the Suez Canal for a week in 2021 it was a worldwide phenomenon - maybe because it provided the much needed distraction from Covid. When the ship was eventually freed a coworker posted one of the funniest instances of the #FastAndFurious "When I see you again" meme. I couldn't find it anywhere on the web so I recreated it from memory. I don't know if it hits anyone as hard as it hit me in 2021. But nevertheless:

Watched #FastAndFurious 5. The one with the safe heist at the end. I was a bit appalled by the deaths the team is causing though. That didn't feel like fun. But there are first hints at the bromance between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson - even though these actors apparently didn't like each other.
Didn't like the ending with Han driving on a German Autobahn with a girl on his lap. Fuck him, guys like him cause fatal crashes all the time. Not funny at all. Made worse by the bad greenscreen comp. -

I've seen the first one when it came out and I'm skipping straight ahead to no. 7, the last one starring the late Paul Walker. It's not hard to follow the plot despite references to enemies and deaths from previous movies.
