  1. When the ship Evergiven got stuck in the Suez Canal for a week in 2021 it was a worldwide phenomenon - maybe because it provided the much needed distraction from Covid. When the ship was eventually freed a coworker posted one of the funniest instances of the #FastAndFurious "When I see you again" meme. I couldn't find it anywhere on the web so I recreated it from memory. I don't know if it hits anyone as hard as it hit me in 2021. But nevertheless:

  2. Hey, did they get the palm print for the security system from Gal Godot's butt after she let that bad guy fondle it?

  3. Watched #FastAndFurious 5. The one with the safe heist at the end. I was a bit appalled by the deaths the team is causing though. That didn't feel like fun. But there are first hints at the bromance between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson - even though these actors apparently didn't like each other.
Didn't like the ending with Han driving on a German Autobahn with a girl on his lap. Fuck him, guys like him cause fatal crashes all the time. Not funny at all. Made worse by the bad greenscreen comp.

  4. After #FastAndFurious 9 I went back to number 4. And it’s a really interesting experience: there‘s no team yet, Diesel and Walker are still street racers. But there is no fun at all. Diesel‘s girlfriend is killed off screen and Diesel is out for revenge but he acts like he would be equally pissed if somebody scratched his car. Nobody is really likable here.
The CGI of the time has a noticeable softness to it. But it works even though physics is already an afterthought in Fast 4.
