Seems #Fakeit is quite nice for #CPP mocking but I found it had a very hard and steep learning curve.

Just spent two days mocking HardwareSerial for Arduino on the ESP32.

All the template barf explosions aren't very indicative as to the actual errors. But that's C++ for you.
