It seems that #VimTeX relies on #VimScript functions which didn't exist until 14 commits after #EVi forked from #Vim⁠... That's two days. Just my kind of luck. I suppose I'll have a look at maybe adding the required functions to EVi at some point in the next few days. Or maybe I'll try to use an older version of VimTeX.

I finally made the transition from #Vim to #EVi, and it seems to have gone mostly smoothly. #UltiSnips was the only casualty, though I'm sure I could get it to work if I tweaked around for a while longer. Anyway, I don't know if I want to get UltiSnips working since it seems to have a CLAUDE.md file in its repo, which would seem to defeat the purpose of using EVi in the first place. Perhaps this is a good time to try doing #snippets ‘the old fashioned way’.

I just switched from SlopVim 9.2 to EVi 9.1, and only one unimportant script is not working. Everything else worked out of the box :ablobcatheartsqueeze:
