A few weeks ago I joined the opening of #EuroCommons representing @openproject. Here our video report from the very successful event.
EuroCommons is about collaboration between users and open source product teams in order to co-create sustainable digital infrastructure that gives users control over their data, their tools, and their future.
We're excited to continue contributing to this growing ecosystem and helping build open, trusted digital infrastructure to strengthen our democracy.

On 1 July, ~300 European orgs launched EuroCommons in Paris: 11 coalitions, led by Caisse des Dépôts, building real migration roadmaps out of vendor lock-in.

It was such a good idea to join the opening of #EuroCommons. I’m looking forward to collaborating within our coalition in order to provide an #opensource alternative to #Jira.
I’m also very curious to see how this will evolve. Facilitating the exchange between open source teams and users will be for sure quite a challenge and lots of work. The energy from the #eurocommons team and their motivation to make FOSS solutions even more visible and better is a great foundation for its future success.

🇪🇺 Ludovic Dubost, Clément Aubin, and Pauline Bessoles are in Paris today for the EuroCommons kick-off.
EuroCommons brings together around 300 European organizations, public institutions, open-source vendors, and foundations to work on practical paths away from proprietary dependencies.
XWiki is proud to join the coalition focused on knowledge management tools, alongside partners such as @openproject and many others.
Digital sovereignty works better as a collective effort.

I will try to be there in Paris on July 1st. 🔥 If you have any questions, the #EuroCommons people can easily be reached through their website.
Also this is a separate initiative from the European Digital Infrastructure Consortium ( #EDIC ) Digital Commons, which is the EU government equivalent of this, basically. The two work together.
