This is so 20th century thinking. One of the things the war in Ukraine showed very clearly is that all Member States have weaknesses and, finally, the Eastern and Central European countries received a long awaited recognition as being equally important to the Union. Now is the time to solidify this equality not try and single out a leader. It's time the Commission returned to its core tasks and leave politics to the Parliament & the Council
