Darkness isn't inherently evil. It's only scary because you don't know what's coming. The key is in the understanding that by letting go and surrendering to it, you are embracing the darkness that is a part of you.
Think of darkness as a representation of everything we don't know. Walking fearlessly into the unknown is moving forward with confidence that whatever is out there has something to teach, if you are willing to learn.
