Last day in Fiji. Next adventure is heading back to Vieques, Puerto Rico in two weeks #ESFiji ##ESFVqs

Today should be a good one. The #ESFVQS students wanted a going away party. Then we are talking about militarization in conservation and finally heading down to the Onondaga Nation for our Brook trout restoration kick off.

The first group of the #ESFVQS students are presenting today and I’m so excited to see them.

After birding we are now looking at a mangrove nursery managed by the Vieques Trust #ESFVQS

We are meeting with members of the Vieques trust, including their scientific staff, to learn about the bioluminescent bay. Can’t wait to see it later tonight #ESFVQS

After doing two snorkeling trips we joined a local NGO Ticatove to do a beach cleanup #ESFVQS

A full moon over San Juan greets us tonight as students arrive from various departures. Tomorrow we take the ferry over to Vieques and #ESFVQS starts in earnest
