    ESA's Vigil mission will monitor our active and unpredictable #Sun to protect vital infrastructure on Earth and in #space from its violent outbursts. The Photospheric Magnetic field Imager (PMI) has been adopted as one of the key instruments for Vigil. PMI strongly builds on the expertise gained in developing the Solar Orbiter PHI instrument. We are looking for a PhD researcher for data analysis development:

    Another goal is to tailor our models and methods towards usage of the real-time data provided by dedicated space weather missions such as #ESAVigil, foreseen to be launched by the end of the 2020s.
