Quick question for my Windows crew, especially folks using NVDA: what email client are you using these days? I’m looking for something that plays nicely with Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

Also curious… how’s the new Outlook holding up in 2026? Has accessibility improved, or is it still hit or miss?

Tutanota — это такой сервис, который вроде как про приватность, но по факту больше про то, чтобы ты ни с кем не мог нормально взаимодействовать. Забудьте про SMTP и IMAP, это слишком небезопасно по их версии реальности. Поэтому подключить почту к своему клиенту? Нет. Сделать рассылку с CRM? Нет. Перенести архив писем на другую платформу? Ну-у-у… теоретически когда-нибудь. Зато внутри своего уютного гетто всё шифруется насмерть, а если вы хотите написать внешнему миру, то собеседник должен пройти квест с паролями и временными ссылками. Очень удобно, да. И да, сервера строго в Германии, потому что если уж быть заложником системы, то хотя бы с немецким паспортом. Tutanota — это не «почта нового поколения», это скорее почта без почты. Без протоколов, без совместимости, без вариантов. Полностью безопасно, потому что полностью изолировано. Лучше сразу голубями, там хотя бы SMTP не нужен.

Usé K-9 durante mucho tiempo para el correo electrónico en Android, y es una aplicación estupenda (veremos qué pasa tras convertirse en Thunderbird), pero cuando me cambié a FairEmail ya no hubo vuelta atrás.

Thunderbird 128 Released With Major Changes

A major update to the open-source e-mail client Thunderbird is now available to download. Thunderbird 128 ‘Nebula’ builds on last year’s stellar Thunderbird 115 release with a flurry of new features, major code improvements, and bug fixes. And like the recent Firefox 128 release this version of Thunderbird is an Extended Support Release (ESR). Like an LTS, ESR status commits to continued updates, bug fixes, and support for several years. Linux distros which rely on ESR builds, like Debian, can update. Support period aside, you’ll find plenty of tangible changes on offer in Thunderbird 128, so preamble done let’s get :sys_more_orange:

#EmailClients are crawling with bugs.

You might wonder whether it is intentional. For example, look into #K9Mail, people have been asking for years for them to remove #HTMLrendering yet they circuitously avoid doing it - even when people find bugs in the image fetching process.
