A gift is given freely and not bought in exchange for money. You don't have ownership in a way that legitimizes exploitation. A gift also connects you with the person or rather entity who gave you the gift, creating responsibility to give something (not money, but something money cannot buy) back.

Don't think just people think entities, think the planet, think all life!

I am currently reading an inspirational book "Braiding Sweetgrass" by Robin Wall Kimmerer, and although I am not a Native American and know nothing about their struggles, it very much resonates with me. It shows a deep understanding of "what tf is wrong with us!?" Our relationships with the land, i.e. with all life on earth are broken. We're ignorant of nature's gifts, because we've been socialised in a "buy economy" when natural processees are actually based on a gift economy.

I would like to even widen the focus to gain a deep understanding of nurturing life through reconnecting with the land, as it is essential for avoiding exploitation. We can grow food on industrial scale by now, yes. But that's not it. Instead, we need to learn how to do it without exploiting the land and ignoring our relationships with and dependency on all life on earth.

While we were reconnecting our community through a private event this weekend one quote from an attendee summarizing our focus was featured prominently:

"My parents looked at the future and rightfully encouraged me to gain a deep knowledge of computer programming. As an IT professional, as I look at the future, I encourage my child to gain a deep understanding of growing food."

Das einzige, was doof war bei der #elacon waren die Mücken. Alles andere war einfach superkalifragilistischexpialigetisch

So, dann mal packen für die #elacon. War schon ewig nicht mehr zelten. Und noch länger nicht ohne Auto. Das wird spannend, ob das alles in meinen Rucksack passt…

Wer kommt denn hier aus meinem Umfeld noch zur #elacon ?

Vorfreude... am 1. Mai gibts was Feines auf die Ohren.. ein Open-Air auf dem Gelände bei der neuen Zukunft und ich darf auf ner total verrückten Anlage ne Stunde weirde Bass-Musik spielen.. mehr Infos dazu später..

Und dann gehts gleich weiter zur #ELACON in die Hölle.. dort gibts dann auch noch ein schönes Tanz-Set von mir..
