@Uair I like the Canadian system - one simple x on a ballot for the federal election. We don't have to declare what our political association is and be on a list - just show up with your voter card (if you received one, if you didn't no biggie you still just need your ID) & a piece of ID. #easypeasy
Plus we don't have to vote in a Senate: potential Senators are chosen by a committee then the gov appoints as appropriate.
No fuss, no muss. -
Remedial Rubio - ‘sweeping’, is right! The only thing this admin is capable of is firing people with valuable institutional-knowledge. No strategic selection or restructure, just blanket elimination. #EasyPeasy makes a mess

In case it helps anyone…
This was a choice made out of precaution: we learned the hard way that my wife is prone to ectopic pregnancies, and she had multiple life-saving emergency procedures over the years we were trying to have a kid.
In the end, we decided it wasn’t worth the risk and stopped trying. Her OB suggested tubal ligation to prevent unplanned pregnancy, but said that wasn’t without complications. A vasectomy, while not risk-free, was much easier and much less invasive.

Since @LifeTimeCooking was talking about scones last week I’ve been wanting some, but it’s rarely worth it just for me. Today though I halved the recipe & used whole meal flour, butter & milk & cooked 4 scones in my little toaster oven - a little dark on top but that’s ok, they’re delicious.

It'll never be year of the #LinuxDesktop, but once in awhile I am reminded how amazing it is:
I hate #distrohopping, but I wanted to move from my current distro, because "reasons."
After the kids when to bed, I set out to try a few #linux distros that might fit me.
In about an hour, I installed #NixOS, #Debian 12, and #SilverBlue - each a clean install. I installed & tested my software of choice (password manger, THE game app, browsers, GIMP) all while preserving my /home.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm serving clients well by pushing them from WordPress to ExpressionEngine. Then I look at sites I’ve been running for years and I can count on one finger the numbers of times I've had to respond to a critical security issue.
Once a quarter I update EE to the latest version; I don't think any of those updates has changed editorial workflows unexpectedly.
About once a year I make sure the whole environment is up to date.
