I feel so sorry for Texas Republicans with their Gerrymandering plans. I think it's too late for them to back out now.
So sad. They cut those margins down pretty thin. A lot of seats are looking kind of vulnerable with the kinds of swing the USA is showing right now.
If TX flips blue in '26 because of this. Well. it really will be very sad... 🤭

What is "dummymandering?" It's when a political party redraws districts in order to maximize the number of seats they can win — and it can sometimes lead to voters being spread too thin so the party in control loses instead of gains. According to political scientist Charlie Hunt, it's one of three ways the U.S. Republican Party's gerrymandering attempt in Texas might backfire on them. He explains more for @TheConversationUS.
