So I was at a #literature lecture where one of the topics was Flash #Fiction, and we talked about #Twitterature, #twosentencehorror stories, #Drabbles etc.
One of the tasks we were given, was to create a new genre of flash fiction, and my mind went to #Mastodon and the #Fediverse, and the skeptisism towards Big Tech etc many people here share.
So my idea was a genre for tech dystopia, with a 500 char limit. But what to call it?!

Refreshing my #introduction! Hi, I'm enchantedsleeper: fic writer, sometime vidder, and lover of #smallfandoms and #drabbles.
I'm into many fandoms (and never really leave any behind), but my current homes are The Strange Case of Starship Iris, Fence, Questionable Content, and Spider-Verse. More broadly, I love comics, AI/robot characters, cyberpunk, and critiques of big tech. I also dabble in the #smallweb & edit #wikis when I find the time.

One week from today (6/8/24) I'll be participating in my first SF panel: "Smaller is Better: #Drabbles and Other Microfictions" for the 2024 Nebula Conference.
We'll be talking about cramming a LOT of story into very few words.

2023 winding down means it's time for an Awards Eligibility Post!
Two short stories, "Diamond Tear," "An Anamnesis of Bones," and a boatload of #drabbles of mine were published this year.

I've written six #FanFiction #Drabbles in one week for a sapphic summer exchange! Partly that's because the prompts are top tier, but I also think #MicroFiction and #FlashFiction might just jive very well with my brain. There's something about the forced word count constraints and relatively low stakes that really gets my muse going.
I wonder if I could hack my brain by treating each scene of my longform fiction like a microfic challenge? #AmWriting #WritingCommunity

Ok ok ok #Introduction time - I'm nárië and I'm a fandom serial monogamist. These days I'm deep into #SHL still, although fairly quietly, for obvious reasons; before that I was into #mdzs and #cql, and before that there's been many other things. I love #genFic, and fic about non romantic relationships (although I also adore #Wenzhou), and fic that weaves itself around the gaps left by canons.
#Drabbles that are exactly 100 words make me very very happy.
