Beat it 101% again for the second time, first time was on Wii U VC couple years ago, also 101%. Still love this game. Tho a couple mini games suck. I've been playing the Wii U virtual console version of Donkey Kong 64 and there's essentially a glitch in the port with the Krazy Kong Klamour! mini game. The mini game on fast mode was designed to rely on the N64 hardware's limits to make the timing manageable, but the Wii U has no such limits.
My workaround for this was to exploit restore states to make a restore state, let the game proceed so I know where the banana is, load the restore state and fire at where the banana is going to be before the lights go up, because it's still a deterministic piece of software.
Emulation problems require emulation solutions!
