When bus driver Hue Sze Wei found out that service 173 that he operates will have a #bus featuring #artwork by #students with #IntellectualDisabilities, the 41-year-old was happy to hop on board with the initiative.
He is no stranger to the invasive stares & rude remarks that members of public sometimes have for those with intellectual #disabilities, as he has a son who attended a kindergarten for autistic children.

"Still Life," Maria Blanchard, c. 1917.
Blanchard (1881-1932) had a sad life, partly due to a number of birth defects that left her with a severe limp and stunted her growth. Painting became a way for her to express her physical and emotional pain.
She had a unique style of Cubism that embraced the style's angularity while still remaining clear and figurative, as we see here. Her style shifted as she aged, to a more figurative look, but remaining dark and melancholy; she died young of TB, at 51.
