  1. Ed Yong is back with another must-read article, this time on what "chronic fatigue" actually means in practice for the millions living with these post-viral syndromes.

It is a certainty that you know at least one person living with something of this kind.

It's a certainty that at least one of your colleagues or employees is battling a painful energy budgeting problem.

The only question is whether any of them trust you or your organization's culture enough to disclose to you what they are living with?

Now, what are you going to do to change that?

  7. As we approach the end of Disability Awareness Month, I want to share a powerful audiobook I've been engrossed in - "The Future is Disabled" by Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha. It's not an easy listen, but it's incredibly impactful. While I don't align with every perspective, many of the author's thoughts resonate deeply with me and I believe they can inspire disability activism groups.

This book isn't as tech-focused as I initially expected, but it delves deeply into the essence of community building. It raises crucial questions that we, as people with disabilities, need to ponder. How can we leverage our unique experiences and the resilience we've cultivated to shape the future?

One of the intriguing ideas it presents is a library of accessible things - a concept that I find fascinating.

I highly recommend this book for its thought-provoking insights. It's a testament to the power of our collective experiences and the potential we hold to create a more inclusive future. #DisabilityAwarenessMonth #TheFutureIsDisabled
