I never meant to run fourteen agent sessions on fourteen projects. The projects kept splitting into pieces, every piece wanted a session of its own, and one day I looked up and there they were.
Fourteen is my dev server's limit. Mine is lower: fine up to about eight, hectic at ten, and at fourteen my head starts throbbing.
Agents have made the doing cheap. What costs me now is the arriving. Every pane is a doorway, and when I walk in cold to a wall of text with the thing it needs from me buried in the middle, I quietly skip it. Then that project stalls for hours, sometimes days.
So I spent the summer making the room readable from the door:
• the verdict on the first line
• what it needs from me on the last
• numbers instead of adjectives
• every reference with a label and a link, every time
• decisions with names, not D1 and OQ3
None of it makes a session any cleverer. I can now tell from the doorway whether a room is done, stuck or waiting on me.
