  6. @Fenreliania So I'd rather expect to make that integration happening with a sort-of toolchain similar to : Thus they as a can comply with all the and the Platform Owners demand - just like Unity today.

    Console manufacturers usually just provide and providers with to make their stuff work, they rarely invest into that themselves outside 1st party / inhouse exclusives.

  7. @Fenreliania So I'd rather expect #W4Games to make that #SDK integration happening with a sort-of toolchain similar to #Unity: Thus they as a #Company can comply with all the #NDAs and #Gatekeeping the Platform Owners demand - just like Unity today.

    Console manufacturers usually just provide #commercial #Engine #developers and #middleware providers with #devkits to make their stuff work, they rarely invest into that themselves outside 1st party / inhouse exclusives.

  9. .... but basically they have always-online - DRM and their will basically brick unless they can reach the platform providers' servers and uses a specific IP to do so.

    Because I did have to setup the networking for a PS4 devkit years ago so that it would actually run and not be a paperweight....

  12. @fuchsiii @[email protected] yeah, can be kinda absurd, like the @[email protected] was like €160 so until the and it's €40 IO-Board they didn't really get any far adoption by beyond people like @geerlingguy who use them to cluster stuff...
