Кто на чём шлёт и принимает почту: измеряем email-инфраструктуру 660 тысяч доменов из Tranco top-1M
Анализ DNS-снэпшота OpenINTEL за 2026-01-01 TL;DR. Используя ежедневные DNS-снэпшоты OpenINTEL поверх списка Tranco top-1M, мы собрали ландшафт email-инфраструктуры публичного веба на 1 января 2026 года. MX-записи опубликовали 660 114 доменов, SPF — 616 352, DMARC — 431 133. Дуополия Google Workspace (21.7%) + Microsoft 365 (16.3%) занимает суммарно ~38% receiving-стороны — заметно меньше, чем принято считать в популярных обзорах. На outbound-стороне Amazon SES вышел вперёд по числу авторизованных доменов (5.86%), обогнав SendGrid (4.66%). DMARC опубликован у двух третей SPF-доменов, но 19% всех DMARC-записей — это пустая v=DMARC1; p=none; без отчётов: формальная галочка, а не защита.

I've just created a new #Microsoft #email account. Not for real use of course (I'm not crazy) but for further #deliverability testing. Guess what, their own "Welcome to your new Microsoft account" message landed right in the #spam folder. Tells a lot about the quality of their filtering/blocking system…

#Google and #Yahoo will begin enforcing #DKIM and #SPF for inbound email as early as February 2024. Otherwise, emails might be delayed in delivery or not being delivered at all. And if you send bulk emails, you need to have DMARC set up as well.
These are all things you should have set up for email anyway. It's the foundation of email trust and fighting spam and phishing. And it's good that Google and Yahoo are starting to enforce it.

#Email - I don't anymore recommend anyone to use email. It's #deliverability issues, #spam and other more or less random #filtering, and #security issues are obvious to everyone. Therefore, if possible, I recommend avoiding email. And using more #modern, #secure and #reliable options instead. -

It's been a big #problem for years, though it's getting #worse. The #Gmail / Outlook-Hotmail-Office365 / Yahoo triumvirate have backroom deals so they don't have #deliverability issues to each other. But the small guys have trouble delivering to them - particularly Gmail.
I've run my own mail server for going on 25 years now. For the last 15 years it's had the same IP. Strict #SPF & #DMARC, correct #DKIM & #DNS. Zero #spam. And I still have deliverability problems.

Great start to the #InboxExpo event this evening - picked up at the airport by a local #Mautic community member, and straight to the Pizza and Beers event after dropping my bag at the hotel.
