  1. Stargate is coming back to TV, thanks to Prime Video
'Prime Video has greenlit a TV revival of the Stargate franchise, marking the fourth major series in the iconic sci-fi saga. Veteran showrunner Martin Gero, known for his work on Stargate: Atlantis, will lead the project, with franchise creators Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich as executive producers. This move aligns with Amazon's recent acquisition of MGM, which included the Stargate IP, and continues Prime Video's tradition of investing in popular science fiction content.'

It was still fun though. Dean Devlin has a knack for making awful/trashy sci-fi that one enjoys in the moment nonetheless.

The Ark television show, now with two complete seasons, definitely fits that mould. Fortunately, it delivers messaging that’s much more aspirational and Star Trek-like. Which is why I have been a booster for it here.

Some of the worst CGI pixelated ship models since B5. The title sequence looks like it was made in another century. The production design is aggressively dreary to the point you can believe the ships were thrown together from printed pieces in a rush. But the show overcomes that in its own weird way.
