Data Stewardship goes Germany at @KIT_Bibliothek: a great success!

This year’s event (30 Sept-1 Oct) was jointly organized by @RDM_KIT and TU9 – German Universities of Technology Research Data Management Working Group, with @fiz_karlsruhe

👉 Starting in 2026, the DSgG workshop series – initiated by the TU9 libraries – will continue under the leadership of the data steward community.
Next workshop: September 28-29 2026 at University of Cologne.

Today, #DSgG2025 in Karlsruhe and #FDMatCampus in Göttingen shared a session via live streaming. First, my talk about the #rdmHelpdeskNetwork was streamed from KA to GÖ, and then Melina Jander’s talk about #base4nfdi was streamed from GÖ to KA. Subsequently, in a shared Q&A session, both audiences asked questions to both speakers. Many thanks to the organisers of #DSgG2025 and #FDMatCampus for making this great event possible.

Susanna Weber gave an excellent keynote talk to 400 participants of @ESciTage. She presented the Data Stewardship Network at @uzh in which 40 data stewards support researchers with their disciplinary rdm knowledge. The Data Stewardship Network connects data stewards, builds their expertise and creates a community of practice. In her insightful and entertaining talk, she made it clear that Data Stewardship is an investment into good science.
