On Sunday, #ICE used #chemicalweapons in #Portland OR, firing #teargas on a crowd of peaceful protesters.
This was legal only because the victims were civilians in peacetime. Chemical weapons are banned in war by both the 1925 Geneva Protocol and the1993 Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC).
#CWC Article II.clause 9 lists "Purposes Not Prohibited Under this Convention" to include "Law enforcement including domestic riot control purposes".
Gassing soldiers is banned. Gassing civilians is OK.

Watching Gianni Infantino’s love fest with Trump, to the extent the two of them handed out the #CWC trophy to Chelsea today and shared a VIP box, was sickening. But then I’m reminded, as the attached article notes, that #FIFA has a history of cozying up to autocrats.
From Mussolini’s fascist Italy in the 30’s, to the Argentinian military dictatorship in the 1970’s, to Russia, then more recently the Qatari emirate; the world’s #football governing body has no problem with autocracy - if the money’s there.
With the ‘real’ World Cup upcoming in the USA, Canada and Mexico (80% of games in the US), Infantino has a lot riding on his relationship with Trump. Maybe that’s why he opened FIFA’s new US office in Trump Tower in NYC. What do you think? You know what I think… this kind of #corruption stinks. Mired in dirty politics and money.

Well, congrats to #ChelseaFC.
#EnzoMaresca did a technical masterclass on how to play against a high-pressure possession-based team like #PSG, but also the players who understood the assignment to take up the free space they were given and make smart runs.
#LuisEnrique didn't found the proper answer, and if he did, Chelsea shut PSG down when it counted. Plus, PSG players were all awful except for some.

My bet on #AKLBOC? If #Boca doesn't put one on the net before the 15 minutes, the team is gone from the competition.
If I was the coach, I would have put a 3-4-3, 2-5-2-1 or even a 2-5-1-2. They need to put everything one the line if they want to make more than 10 goals in 90 minutes.

I have to say, the #FIFACWC has been really entertaining.
It's like a World Cup but with clubs. Clubs that were thought to be weaker have been very competitive. European clubs are not tough as everyone assumed.
There is no excuse for anyone performance. These are not friendlies, this is a competition.
