It’s the old problem again… follow the money and you’ll find the reason for gambling. There’s a ‘punter’ born every minute… wait, that’s… a ‘sucker’ born every minute, right?It’s institutionalised in the Stock Markets and deeply ingrained in our economic systems. It will never be eradicated.
But we can stop adverts, sponsorships altogether. We can shut down cruel sports (coq fighting, dog and horse races, etc.), regulate, police and tax the shit out of those who profit from addicted gamblers, but it cannot be got rid of. Sadly.
