I enjoy playing around with different ways of solving technical challenges. Just had to update one I had forgotten about: Send a notification into a client's MS Teams room, on certain deployment events.

The solution? Our #ConcourseCI job posts into a #Matrix room. A bot in the room looks for a particular state key, and if it exists, it forwards the message to the URL specified as a webhook.

Teams had changed the Webhook URL, so I had to track this down!

As if today couldn't get worse, now my #ConcourseCI will not self-renew its SSL cert so I have to re-deploy the whole thing, which I can't do from my mac so I need to setup a virtual #linux machine to do that.
