I think I figured it out! The A590 disk has a "MakeBootDisk” script that converts the install floppy into a boot floppy for a A590 HD under KickStart 1.2. It starts from the floppy disk and uses BindDrivers to load A590HD from the Expansion folder, which I believe is the driver I’ve been looking for. It automatically mounts the CDTV SCSI HD and passes control to it and continues booting from the HD (with JP15 disabled). 👍

Then I used romsplit which saved 11 files from the CDTV extended ROM. None were scsi.device but there is cdtv.device which may be it? I then tried using loadmodule but it says it’s not executable..?
