Not classing this as a story as it is only the opening scenes of the story but thought it was quite cool that we get a psychedelic comicization of the story in Radio Times #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace
-
I don't want to end the story on a complete downer though as we do have the Brigadier show up at the end (which is always a good thing) and we are heading into one of my all time favourite stories next... #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace

I'm calling this as the worst ending so far. First we have the resolution to the problem being pulling a lever in plain view. Second we have the genocide of the native race (because no one including the writer seemingly cares about them any more). Finally the whole colonist vs miners story would have played out the same whether the Doctor and Jo had turned up or not to the extent that they needed to have the resolution of the story explained to them #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace

What is it with the leader of this city, he tells the alien who broke in planning to steal the superweapon to escape and telepathically summons his own innocent race to stay and die in the caves. Seemingly committing genocide for no obvious reason #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace
-
298 TV eps in and I am calling this as the most ridiculous ending so far. The Doctor gives a weak speech about the harm the weapon could do and the leader says there is a switch on full view that when pulled destroys the weapon and our whole civilization #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace

Yet again, there is a moment, just a second even, when you think the Third Doctor is seriously considering the Masters offer of a half share in the Universe and thinking about all of the good he could do. Pertwee is really good as these scenes #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace

Blowing up the colonist spaceship feels a badly chosen fake out. I feel for Ashe and the sacrifice he makes but I just don't believe it. IMC would have noticed that there was no one else onboard. It just doesn't ring true for me at all #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace
-
If I was the Adjudicator I would have ordered that they share the planet. We are talking about a planet here not small area. There are only a handful of colonists, allocate an area of suitable size to them and let the miners have the other 99% #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace
-
At the start of the scene I thought that this looked fun but then it gets serious, that guy has his head plunged into cold muddy water and the last punch looked a bit too real for me #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace

DOCTOR: Oh, so that's more like it. You mean that you stole the information?
This is one of the more interesting issues of the episode and it is glossed over completely. Can knowledge be "stolen" or should it be freely available for the use of everyone? #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace -
MASTER: No, wait! What is this place?
DOCTOR: Well, it looks like some sort of lumber roomI had to google what a lumber room actually is, and this isn't it. Does anyone know what this is all about? #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace

Mary Ashe, who has been meek and polite all story suddenly finds her voice here and it makes the scene much more impactful #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace
-
This makes you long for the days of the Sensorites, when putting the key in the lock and turning it incorrectly would destroy the locking mechanism. Now anyone can just put in a regular house key #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace
-
This story feels like it is going around in circles now. There is probably a good 4 part story in here, but it is just repeating plot points now #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace
-
The real adjudicator that the Master replaced looks surprisingly like one of the Morbius Doctors... #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace
-
This is how they should have to always enter the TARDIS #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace
-
It takes the Master to point out how ridiculous a lot of #DoctorWho stories are. The Doctor waltzes in with no papers or evidence of identity and is accepted without question (until it is pointed out). Where is the psychic paper when he needs it? #ColonyinSpace
-
"I'm afraid you're both about to become the victims of stray bullets" The Master misses his opportunity here, however shooting the Doctor with a gun really isn't his style #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace
-
I will admit there are some nice character moments here though. The idea that after winning in court all of the IMC people get really drunk is the most believable part of the story (and played perfectly in this scene) #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace

I'm curious, if you were the legitimate Adjudicator called to settle this dispute, what judgement would you have delivered here and most importantly why? My judgement will be delivered with episode 6 #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace
-
You have to feel a little bit sorry for this guy, does he just spend his days staring at the back of this picture until intruders turn up who he can sentence to death? #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace
-
With the show out amongst the stars again this feels like what we should be focussed on. Alien civilizations who have reverted to primitive beliefs is an concept with potential. It feels more interesting that the stuff with the colonists by this point #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace
-
Not to jump ahead too much but we finally get an introduction to the Adjudicators who will go on to play a much bigger role as the show goes forward. The Master may be the first Adjudicator but he isn't the one we are all waiting for... @arcbeatle #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace

However, no story can fail to be improved by the addition of Roger Delgado. The Master is name checked in the first scene and yet oddly his arrival still comes as a surprise revelation the first time you see the story #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace

The scenes of the colonists vs IMC, first in the ship and then in the court room just aren't working for me. They should be exciting but they all feel a little flat. Can't even put my finger on why. Only the gun fight really worked #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace
-
So it was just a projection all along! And they would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those pesky colonists! We have gone from Batman to Scooby Doo in 1 episode. Would anyone be frightened of this though? At least project a T-Rex or something #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace

DENT: Have her brought back. Caldwell, you've just committed professional suicide.
There is something chilling about this scene. Dent is furious that he has been challenged but is a villain who operates within the system and know his power is constrained #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace -
Bare with me, but there are similar beats between this story and the #Silurians. After being the voice of peace that is ignored the Doctor goes to the "reasonable" one in the enemy camp and betrays his allies #DoctorWho #ColonyinSpace

The colonists have bought peace with the natives by giving away the limited food supplies that they have. What were the natives doing for food before they arrived? #DoctoWho #ColonyinSpace
