My submission for an event on discord. The prompt was "Transform a modern character into a retro icon from the 70s, 80s, or 90s". Well since peak Gameboy era falls in there, and I love me some GB art, I went for it! I love Esquie, and I hope I was able to capture some of his wonderfully bizarre energy.

I've been trying to learn the way of the chibi over the last little while, and to cap off my studies I wanted to do a series of style studies. I thought about it for a bit and thought it my be fun to do the Pokémon girls in various chibi styles I like.
So here's the first: Leaf, from FR/LG in the style of Fire Emblem Heroes!
It's far from perfect, but I'm pretty happy with it :)
Included a smoll version to simulate how it might look in FEH :p

Anime Faces A to Z: 'N' is for Nezuko from Demon Slayer!
Can't believe how well this one turned out! It's almost like practicing a skill make you better at it. :P
These are all studies though, and thus mostly copying. Not tracing to be clear, copying, and I do try to think actively about what I'm copying and hopefully I'm honing more than just that skill. Might be time to start pushing past just copying though, given how well this one turned out.
Also! This was my first completed drawing in Krita! Took some getting used to coming from ClipStudioPaint, but clearly wasn't too bad.

Drew this for a friend for Christmas! It features all of her families favourite Pokémon. Her's is Appletun, her husband's is Jirachi, their kiddo's is Falinks, and they just had a baby which I represented with the egg :)
It was nice to go at this all loosey goosey, and while it's far from perfect, I love it and am quite proud of it :)
