Can't believe how well this one turned out! It's almost like practicing a skill make you better at it. :P

These are all studies though, and thus mostly copying. Not tracing to be clear, copying, and I do try to think actively about what I'm copying and hopefully I'm honing more than just that skill. Might be time to start pushing past just copying though, given how well this one turned out.

Also! This was my first completed drawing in Krita! Took some getting used to coming from ClipStudioPaint, but clearly wasn't too bad.

Dang. Straight up impressed with myself with this one. Not perfect by any means, but I think it looks great. I used the Dry ink brush for the line art, and while it was great to work with, once coloured it left a strange texture as though you were looking at the image in the wrong resolution. Oh well, I think adding the paper texture mitigated most of that, plus it looks cool.

Really happy with this one, I don't know if it's because I took an involuntary break from illustration, or because we were discussing it on stream, but I felt I was really able to let go and embrace the imperfections making inking much less stressful. The textured pen was also a joy to use, will definitely come back to that one. :)

Really happy with this one, I feel like my line art has improved immensely over the past couple months! I used to find the pens far too difficult to ink with, but here I am using the "Real G-pen" and I think it turned out pretty well :)
