Evening! Cloud & I popping in to say a quick hello as this has been another oddly busy week & I am poised to collapse in a heap after a VERY early morning (not a morning person). So...

Clearing a couple of weeks of snaps of phone and cameras. Finding the compulsory "why did I take that?" one, before realising it was just for the cloud 😆
Given that all I've ended up doing is adding 4 dots I faffed for far too long with this one (teeth, tongue, arms, ears...) but sometimes less is more.

Morning! All go in house eclectech at the moment, so not much time for silliness. Normal service will resume etc.
Did meet a nice cloud yesterday, although looking again the top of its head looks decidedly like bum cheeks

Me leaving the house for the first time in 2026, full of optimism, cheerfulness, & with a slightly fuzzy head.

Coming home from an errand run & the woods at the back of the house were GLOWING in the low evening sun. I (obviously) wanted to try & capture it, but by the time I got into the garden with the camera the sun had gone behind the clouds & the glow had gone.
Anyhow. Apropos of nothing in particular, here's a cloud.

Cleared the last couple of weeks worth of snaps off my phone. Lots of blue skies and fluffy clouds, and I know I saw something in all the clouds when I snapped them, but I'm not seeing them now 🤷♀️
The good thing about clouds though, is that you can whack a face on pretty much any of 'em if you really want to.

The sun is shining.
The trees are green.
The sky is blue.
The clouds are - well - the clouds are being a bit odd tbh but still, what a pleasant day (no, I haven't looked at the news yet, and you can't make me). -
Nope, I am absolutely not avoiding the chores that I definitely need to get done today. Definitely not.

Today's cloud creature has an important public service announcement for people taking advantage of the sunny weekend to visit rural Scotland.
I realise we're sleepy & quiet & laid back compared to life in the big city but it is very important that you understand WE STILL HAVE CARS.
Just back in from one short walk & saw two near misses as people walked on the road instead of the extremely roomy path.

Ooh, nothing like taking a bit of time off to be a tourist with visitors, then being swamped by STUFF. Gonna take a few more days for me to get back on top of everything. Have a silly cloud pupper while I sort through it all.

Just popping in with a quick "hello", as I have visitors this week so am mainly offline being hostess and tour guide. Had a quick wander at the Ben Lawers Nature Reserve yesterday, home to the Best Rocky Stream and friendliest clouds.

There is something a bit weird going on. Been sorting through my photos from the last week & LOADS of clouds are forming with open mouths. This is not normal. You'd get one every now and then but honestly, they're EVERYWHERE.
I, of course, welcome our new Chompy Cloud Overlords but still... it's a bit odd. There is, I suppose, a slight chance that I have just spent too long looking at clouds.
It's a mystery 🧐

You know how the wee window you type in asks "What's on your mind?" before you've written anything?
Sometimes, when I've posted the picture and it's just sitting there with that question above, I just think "well, not very much, obviously".
Anyhow, apropos of nothing in particular, have another cloud.

It has been a dreich winter, and seeing blue skies & fluffy clouds this week has been a treat but now my phone is full of cloud photos because they were just too splendid not to snap. Case in point 😁

The important thing to point out about this is that the original photo definitely shows one cloud coming out of another. I have merely emphasised what was already there. So aye.

Just reminding myself after a day in a damp cloud that the blue sky is still out there, which works on both a literal and figurative level for me today.
Anyhow, the cloud folk says hi. -
In a moment this cloud is going to open their eyes & be really embarrassed about how late they've slept in.

Thought I saw a cloud using a TV aerial as a microphone. I didn't obviously, but I took a photo anyway. It's been a long day.
