Just seen a little child pressing the #GardenLights #Cheerlights 🙂

Got 3 days use out of my 22500mAh battery for #GardenLights #Cheerlights 🙂

Ordered another one (as only £10) so I can have a hot spare to try and achive better SAL compliance 🙂

Getting a few #GardenLights #Cheerlights button presses per day now and I've made the lights dim up and down thanks to help from the #NodeRED forum :)

Tested #GardenLights #Cheerlights out with daughters car parked between it and the WiFi router and it still worked :)

Came up with couple of ideas
1. Implement Last Will and Testament on the #MQTT connection to detect when box goes offline

2. Make it flash the 10mm white LED to attract attention of people passing by

The #GardenLights #Cheerlights box is now screwed to the garden wall and operational :)

So #ESP8266 D1 Mini board in there with a 20Ah battery, running #MicroBlocks script publishing using #MQTT to my broker cymplecy.uk on topic gardenlights. This received by #NodeRED on Pi in my house which uses UDP to update colour of the #Wiz lights and also toots out to cheerlights

I was going to try testing out #GardenLights #Cheerlights from the comfort of the computer room while watching my lights thru the door bell webcam but unfortunately, the lights are invisible during daylight so will have to wait till its gets a bit darker.
