    @lucybeahere @Reina @chris @BlackAzizAnansi personally, I think it's bad to default to a single server as this really does #centralize stuff...

    To illustrate this further, @CCC had to literally close down registrations for a long time on their #XMPP server [ jabber.ccc.de ] for that reason:

    The reason is to #decentralize and actually avoid #SinglePointOfFailure constellations.

    If that's too hard then maybe people shouldn't do any tech whatsoever.
