  1. The entire "The number worker" booklet is only six sheets! That's 12 sides. Here they come in batches of four.

The alt text will indicate the sheet number (1,2,3...) with 'r' or 'v' appended, indicating front and back respectively.

  2. I've put a PDF up on archive.org so you ought to be able to make your own "The number worker"!

The traces left by the rusted staples help you to determine where the pages ought to be folded.

Of course I realise now I didn't consider if the folds would fall correctly if you were to print this double-sided!

It might make more sense to create this as separate images which can be printed double-sided. Images to follow!

  3. Here are the instructions on the front and rear inside covers. I'll scan the whole booklet and put it up on archive.org shortly. Link to follow.

  4. Take a look at this Irish educational experiment from 1972 intended to help children understand mathematics from a new perspective.

This booklet, "The Number Worker", is a cleverly designed set of tables which can be used to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, as well as change number base, discover common multiples, gain an intuition about decimals, fractions and percentages, calcualte area and understand odd and even numbers.
