@alisynthesis well he's kinda old but #AnsonMount's #CaptainPike from Star Trek's #StrangeNewWorlds is pretty good. The character's back story already has a well documented tragic end which makes his portrayl all the more interesting. It's one of the few successes in the modern interpretation of the #StarTrek franchise.

I heard a familiar voice on the TV, so I looked up, and saw Anson Mount on Law & Order from 2007, playing a minister on trial for murder. He had very lackluster black hair, and not the glorious mane we've all come to know and love.

Yesterday evening I enjoyed the latest episode of season 2 and as a ST-Fan since the early 1970s in Germany I am a huge fan.

I didn't miss one show, not one episode and not one movie. Except #startrekdiscovery. I really liked season 1. I loved season 2. Season 3? Okay. Season 4: I don't even care any more. Maybe it is way too way off. And they want to do a STAR TREK: ACADEMY within that time frame? This is going to BOMB! Mark my words.

I simply cannot get over how good #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds is. It's the only modern Trek show (aside from #LowerDecks, which is also superb) that really understands the heart of the show. And they're working in every single classic trope without making it feel pandering or cheap!! Doesn't hurt that I've been a huge #CaptainPike fan since I watched the #TOS pilot a million years ago.

Plus, that intro. I get chills every time.
