  3. On the road between Çavuşin and Zelve🇹🇷, we stop at Paşabağ, also called "Monks Valley". Here the landscape displays the amazing multi-headed mushroom rock formations, some 15-20m high into which monks carved cells in the #Byzantine period to live a solitary life.

  4. We've made a big loop and now it's time to head east, stopping at the village of Çavuşin and the church of St John the Baptist, a rock cut church dating to the early 6th century (hear that, my #LateAntiquity & #Byzantine peeps??). It may be the oldest church in #Cappadocia 🇹🇷
