Esta mañana me he acordado de Calligra y veo que básicamente está abandonada, las aplicaciones fuertes de la Suite se han independizado o se han fusionado con otras, una pena por que cuando se anunció me pareció una buena idea una alternativa Libre más distinta de Libre Office.
Pero, no solo es la suite de KDE la que está muerta si no también Abiword que creo que no fue más allá el intento de GNOME de crear una suite ofimática.
¿Tan difícil es desarrollar y mantener algo como eso? Puedo a llegar a entender que al final se debe más al tener que dar compatibilidad a formatos propietarios, que se te va todo el esfuerzo en ello ¿No sería posible dar ese soporte mediante extensiones y que la comunidad sea la que lo mantenga y actualice? Y aparte crear como un motor para la Suite en la que los dos proyectos lo desarrollen y después encima pongan su propia interfaz con su ñs configuraciones propias.
Peesonalmente creo que sería el camino a seguir -

🌟 Hablando de Falkon, descubrí que KDE también tiene su propia suite de oficina: Calligra. ¡Es increíble! Incluye herramientas como Words para textos, Sheets para hojas de cálculo y Stage para presentaciones.
Me sorprende que exista una solución tan completa. Si no lo has probado, ¡te animo a que lo hagas! Me encantaría saber qué piensan quienes ya lo han usado. ¡Déjenme sus comentarios! Siempre es genial compartir descubrimientos.😍

I don't usually need to use office software, but I'll be returning to uni next week and I'll need something compatible with Microsoft Office's formats (writing and powerpoint). Blergh.
Help out a reluctant user, please: what do I choose?

#Calligra la suite #bureautique de #KDE est sortie en version 4 il y a peu de temps. Un tutoriel qui la présente avec ses limites.
Bilan c'est une suite sympathique, mais qui ne fonctionne vraiment bien que sur un environnement de bureau #Plasma

PS : il y a plein de manchots parce que c'est la mascotte de Linux.

I'm interested in trying out #kde 's #calligra , but it seems like they don't have a #flatpak available on #flathub , and the nightly available at https://cdn.kde.org/flatpak/calligra-nightly/ seems to be out of date, as are openSUSE's calligra packages.

KDE's Calligra Office has a new update, with some Layout/UI changes, making the sidebar more consistent across the suite, updated style manager & page layout dialogues, and plenty more.
I always forget that Calligra is a KDE project..... it doesn't start with a giant "K" like Krita, and everything else they do, lol.

I had a day off today and ended up hacking on Calligra all day long 😅 but now all the filters to convert between many formats are operational again and various dialogs received a visual cleanup.
Calligra 4.0 based on Qt6 and with the new UI is getting close 🤩

Working with spreadsheets a bunch the past few days has made me sadly have to use Excel for some features that don't work quite right in #LibreOffice, #OnlyOffice, #Calligra, and #Gnumeric.
The main issues I've had is getting VLOOKUP()s working reliably, and the little [1][2][3] boxes for subtotals showing up TEENSY TINY when using fractional scaling in Wayland.
#LibreOffice seems to be the most compatible, though. I know lots of people swear by OnlyOffice, but I've had several things not work

Ansonsten reicht für das meiste nen Texteditor wie #nano, #ne ( https://ne.di.unimi.it ) oder #Codium ( https://vscodium.com ), welche sogar intuitiver und nutzerfreundlicher als #vim / #neovim & co. sind...
