I wasn't sure if the box-pacakged potatoes au gratin were going to work out, since they were supposed to be made with milk, but all I had was half-and-half. It was looking a little too creamy as it simmered. So I threw in some shredded cheddar to restore the cheese balance, and hoped. 🤞🏻
It came out *incredibly rich!* 😋 Successful improvisation!
I probably — no, definitely — shouldn't have eaten as much of it as I did. But it was *so good!*
