More information on #Bunyabunya pines. There are a few of them on the Monterey Peninsula, but not much is known about them around here. I imagine they were brought here during the days when whaling and sealing ships docked here, so they may be part of the town's seafaring history. There are also some #monkeypuzzle trees here, which are related and have similar heavy cones. Must be the harvest season. https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/bunya-nuts-australia
