No, I have not seen this movie yet (it has been on my cue list for a long time).
However, from what I gathered from the trailer, it is an evil spin on Superman, where instead of a super-powered person growing up to be good, they become evil.

JamesGunn: “I mean we talked about it early on. But the rights are all f🤬cked up (I only own half) so it’s unlikely that it will ever happen.” (Thread)
So it appears we will not get a sequel to this movie after all due to a rights dispute. Sigh...
