CW: “Brewing Love” review
I finished #BrewingLove, and I loved it very much! This #Kdrama is a bit different from others, since it’s fully centered on the beer. 🍺 In practice, you see beer and people drinking beer in most scenes.
There are no shortages of dramatic/tragic moments, but this drama is also mostly about love ❤️ between the main characters. And this is the most pleasant part.Watch it if you like the genre! It will also appeal to people like me who have never drunk beer or alcohol. 😉

This #Kdrama is so particular because the main topic is beer! So you see beer everywhere: bottles of beer, cans of beer, cases of beer, beer advertising, people drinking beer, etc. 😆
I’ve also noticed a similarity with the recent #SoldOutOnYou. In both dramas, a woman travels to a rural area to convince a man to collaborate with her. And the man is initially bored and annoyed by this, only to later develop feelings for her. Curious, eh? 😉

After finishing #KDrama #BrewingLove I'm thinking I need to add another tag option in my personal database to mark Dramas where the STP was stronger than the OTP. This was another one to add to that list, for sure.

All alcoholic beverages smell the same to me, a smell that induces nausea. Happily #KDrama #BrewingLove smelled VERY different from most recent #KDrama #romcoms and did not make me sick . The OTP grew on me in time, but the highlight remained the STP, with some very interesting and unusual relationship issues and dynamics. Lots of rom, overall handled very well, bits of com, and instead of a serial killer, a consideration of the trauma of killing. 8.5/10

Then it DID include multiple killings by one person, in a context I've never seen before in a #KDrama. One upside to being physically unable to ingest alcohol is that when one is watching a #KDrama called #BrewingLove and it starts getting all technical about beer, FF is the perfect solution. 😂

Into ep 7/12 in #KDrama #BrewingLove and it's definitely another one where the STP is more interesting than the OTP. I really like Kim Se Jeong, but the woo woo empath (Deanna Troi style, really) ML is a bit much. The STP arc is predictable, but it's fun, and two actors are doing a good job of it

These shows just hit us differently and that's also based on how we're feeling/what we're facing when we watch. I started out enjoying #BrewingLove and it fell pretty flat for me by the later episodes. The #CurrentlyAiring show that I like a lot right now is #MotelCalifornia. It's always a bit of a gamble to see how things will evolve but it's fun to anticipate new episodes. I like a mix of completed and airing dramas. -

Her past has caused her to hide her emotions. The brewmaster has moved to a rural farm because he's sensitive to sounds, emotions, smells, & tastes.
A lovely story about listening to your heart, taking care of yourself, supporting your community, & found-families is not executed well. The story shifts focus from the sensitive ML & his problems to the FL discovering her emotions. The FL, although fabulous in the action scenes doesn't play the tearful emotions well. 2nd couple is great - touching & funny. Some fun side characters too.
Cute & interesting brew info, but misses the mark on a potentially great story about allowing yourself to have feelings.

Yes, this was a good one. I felt that FL portrayed a driven badass quite well but she was weak on displaying authentic emotions. Still, the show was very entertaining. As a craft beer lover, I really liked what it portrayed about the industry and the passion of the brewers.
