Yesterday I started another #Kdrama because I know that Spooky In Love will not keep me busy all the weekdays (only Sat/Sun).
I chose #ToMyBelovedThief on #Viki. The first episode is nice, but a bit confusing with so many characters, and I still have to learn their relationships.
By the way, one of the OST songs in this drama is the beautiful “Stealing Love” sung by the super good Choi Eun Bin (최은빈).

Apocalipsis zombie sin muchos zombies de por medio (estos son usados más bien como atrezzo) y una visión paródica de las historias románticas. Sale Akari Takaishi a quien vi en Shinmai Kisha Torokko: Watashi ga Yaraneba Dare ga Yaru! (Keiichi Kobayashi, 2024).

Yesterday, besides Love Your Enemy, I also watched the first episode of the #Kdrama #TheMidnightRomanceInHagwon on #Viki. I liked it, even if some moments were a little boring, since the first episode is very introductory.

Sin una gran trama central ni casos grandilocuentes, Seochodong (Park Seung-woo, 2025) nos presenta el día a día de un grupo de abogados y secundarios que les acompañan. Como buena serie, los personajes crecen y para cuando llega el final se encuentran en un lugar distinto; hay trama romántica pero alrededor también se tejen otras historias que llevan su propio peso y no se quedan colgadas. Me ha recordado a Geomsanaejeon (Lee Tae-gon, 2019).

LTNS o Long Time No Sex (Im Dae-hyung y Jeon Go-woon, 2025) tiene solo 6 episodios y toca temas un poco más adultos que la serie surcoreana promedio. Una pareja inmersa en la rutina y con la libido por los suelos encuentra una forma de reavivar la llama de la convivencia (pero no tanto del sexo) por medio de una arriesgada estrategia de extorsión… eventualmente todo les explota en la cara.
Por cierto, Esom y Ahn Jae-hong (protagonistas de la serie) trabajaron con la directora Jeon Go-woon en Microhabitat, una película de 2017 a la que (de acuerdo a mi registro) le puse cuatro estrellas.

I found that #TheThirdCharm and #BecauseThisIsMyFirstLife are both on #Viki with Italian subtitles available. Since I recently subscribed to Viki, I will watch both dramas for sure. So I’ll discover more of Esom! 😀 -

Today, May 1, and tomorrow, there are the last two episodes of #Kdrama #PhantomLawyer released on both #Netflix and #Viki! (I’m watching on Viki for Italian subtitles)
I really hoped for some romance between the two protagonists, but my best guess now is that it won’t be. Anyway, this drama is nice, and I liked it a lot. I also “discovered” Esom, she is so cute. 🥰
Ah, a second season, if the ending doesn’t preclude it, would be highly appreciated by me! -

Yesterday, I decided to start a new #Kdrama. I watched the first episode of #LoveScout on #Viki, and I liked it a lot! I chose this drama because:
a) I wanted to see Han Ji-Min again (!) 😊
b) I wanted to watch something with a nice/lovely story 🥰Furthermore, my initial impression is that Italian subtitles in Love Scout are far better than in Phantom Lawyer! (but I will check carefully going forward).

Choejongbyeonggi Geunyeo (Lee Byung-hun, 2022) tiene acción, drama, romance entre dos adolescentes con la cabeza mal tapiada y un toquecito de surrealismo, protagonizada por una chica entrenada para ser la asesina perfecta (¿ecos de Nikita?)… pero que nunca ha matado a nadie, y un chico con traumas por superar, todo eso contenido en ocho capítulos de veintipocos minutos de duración. Menos predecible de lo que esperaba, con una narración que alcanza a decir lo necesario en poco espacio y un desconcertante cierre. Park Se-wan de protagonista, en un registro muy distinto al de su personaje en Seoul Busters.

Geurimja Minyeo (Bang Soo-in, 2021) me sorprendió para bien. Originalmente presentada como webserie de trece episodios de apenas veinte minutos de duración, de nuevo se trata de una serie basada en un webcómic. Con lo que no puedo son con las caras de «loca» que hace la protagonista frente a la computadora en el primer capítulo.

In ogni caso maschile, femminile o plurale vengono tradotti male spesso anche su Netflix, ho notato. In coreano non accorda aggettivi e predicati verbali al genere. Inoltre i soggetti vengono omessi più spesso che in italiano.
Comunque credo che alcune traduzioni siano state fornite prive di contesto e decorate da allucinazioni da IA. Come "cancello", ad esempio.

I’ve started recently watching the #Kdrama #PhantomLawyer on #Viki. However, #Italian subtitles are “terrible” (in a negative sense): technical errors, incorrect terms, confusion between masculine and feminine forms, missing articles before nouns, incorrect tone in some scenes, etc.
See the screenshot I made! And the errors you see are just 1/30 of the total errors. Plus, the “geometric” font (look at the “a” shape) doesn’t help much. I feel like the teacher who corrects the schoolboys ... 🙄

I started my #Viki Plus subscription! I’ve already watched 2 episodes of #Kdrama #PhantomLawyer (with Italian subtitles!).
Video quality is very good at 1080p, really similar to Netflix, with no hiccups or issues. Ok!
What disappointed me were the subtitles! I never saw so many mistakes and blunders! Technical mistakes, wrong terms, confusion between masculine and feminine words, and wrong tones in some scenes.
Worst of all: subtitles use a “geometric” sans-serif font that is poorly legible. 😞 -

Another good source is Rakuten #Viki – https://www.viki.com
It has prices similar to Netflix (a bit lower). Typically, a K-drama is only on one or the other, but sometimes it’s on both platforms.
For example, I just noticed that Viki also has “Phantom Lawyer”... and with Italian subtitles! So, I’m starting to feel like subscribing to Viki. -
