Scenes often change suddenly to a different concurrent thread. Characters act using some clichés. I also observed how light is used, especially in rooms, etc.
Finally, I checked the title on AsianWiki. There are ... 50 episodes! So, my main guess is that (without knowing) I’ve picked a Korean “soap opera”! It’s a new thing for me. 🤭
