I just installed Vivaldi today. so far i'm quite liking it 👍💙

i had switched to Brave but kept getting runtime errors on Mastodon. then i learned the co-founder/ceo is a maga bigot, and being #AntiFascist & 💯 #magafree, i had to switch again. Vivaldi was recommended

even w/ your features to help the setup & automate imports from other browsers, it still takes hrs to organize. still working on it😅

i have that! #LibreWolf is one of the browsers i downloaded in my effort to #BreakTheOligarchy & eliminate big tech oligarchs from my life

so i either had problems with it, or learned some horrible thing about it - just like you're telling me about #Brave

i💙 #LibreOffice products & tend to trust apps w/ "Libre" in front of it. but i'm a neophyte to this. i never cared anything about this until i learned that the tech oligarchs would side w/ the fascists against the people

& i was hoping to find a phone other than Google Pixel that it works on. trying to abide by my self-imposed #BreakTheOligarchy boycott😅
also, i'm old & new to Linux. as close to "out of the box" i can get, the better for me😁

i am looking at things like#SailfishOS & #GrapheneOS & others to replace #Android. but honestly, most of what i read is over my head. i'll need to keep learning or just hire someone. i'd like to learn bc i understand it goes far beyond my phone's OS

even as i delete & replace apps, those are individual apps. i've replaced google's music & notes apps, but when i replaced google translate w/ #libretranslate, it went very badly

i've used #googletranslate from everything from conversations to reading menus all over the world

but i'll first convert a backup phone w/ on #OSOS Open Source Operating System (is that a term?)

yeah. i got a new laptop a yr ago. every laptop gets faster & better. but not this one. sure the chips are better, but it is so much slower & bogged down. i had to turn off so much microsoft garbage. (& you know their AI is secretly still running in the background)
