I am not an active ham (KB0ZMS), but I am frustrated by the DQRM directed at the Bouvet Island DXpedition (3Y0J). I just cannot wrap my head around what anyone gains from blocking others from gaining a rare one, plus all the mean-spirited griping and general nastiness. People can be so disappointing.
The Radio Amateur's Code starts with “never knowingly operates in such a way as to lessen the pleasure of others.”

15m was a gong show complete with self-appointed FT8 cops & I couldn't hear 3Y0J at all.
Slid over to 10m and got them right away... if it was actually them. Will see. Fingers crossed. Will try for other modes/bands later on when things calm down. #HamRadio #Digital #DXpedition #3Y0J #BouvetIsland
