TL;DR - Maybe don't post or boost Dean Blundell stuff. Don't give him oxygen.

I keep seeing people posting links to Dean #Blundell - usually videos - regarding #Canadian #news and #politics. I strongly suspect that the people boosting and posting his stuff are unaware of what he actually is and does.

He's trying to build an online presence in the news-and-opinion space, because his former career as a desperate Howard Stern-style shock-jock wanna-be imploded and his show went in the shitter. Feel free to look him up on Wikipedia for the details; he appears to me to be a misogynist piece of shit, and if he's not actively #homophobic, then he's at least comfortable platforming those who are.

That's just his background. Why I think people should stop posting his content is that it's ... largely bullshit. When I first started seeing his stuff, it was obvious why it was going around -- it's click-bait headlines and lots of exclamation points and has a real "YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED NEXT!!!"-vibe.

But his takes didn't feel right to me, at least in any of the areas I have knowledge of. So I dug into some of his stuff, and it was ... overcooked. Exaggerated. To the point of being actively #misleading, even if it's not outright false.

I strongly suggest seeking primary sources for *anything* he claims in his stuff before you believe it.
