Operation #Bluebird is a startup that intends to create a new #Twitter using the old name.

In 2025, the startup filed to have the old "Twitter" #trademark transferred to itself. The startup leads happen to include one of the old Twitter's own trademark attorneys. He thinks that the case has a chance. However, the consensus is that the startup is probably going to lose.

OTOH Operation Bluebird intends to cite Elon Musk's own statement to the effect that the old Twitter was going to "bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds".

That was a foolish thing to say. It gives the startup a key part of what it need to take the brand. But only one part. The odds are still against the new bluebird.

The dispute will probably take several years. It should be a colorful fight.

If Operation Bluebird wins, it won't be just egg on Elon Musk's face. The startup will eat his lunch. #Musk will look like one of the most significant fools in modern history.

Found my motivation this morning to get moving.

Headed out into one of my favorite forests and spent 30 minutes of rapid walking and then 15 minutes of sauntering (my favorite part) where I caught this pretty bird.

We had a really nice day out today at the Bluebird K7 Festival. We saw it in the water and we heard the jet engine power up (loud!) but they had a technical problem then the conditions got too rough. But great to see it on Coniston again
